Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and sent back to the same sites on your next visit. This website uses technical cookies only and displays a third-party map (OpenStreetMap) that sets no cookies. We do not use profiling cookies or any marketing or advertising tracking tools.
1. Technical cookies and tools (always active)
Necessary for the correct operation of the site; they do not require consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. In particular, this site stores one preference in the browser's localStorage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ag_cookie_consent | localStorage (technical) | Stores your cookie choice so the banner is not shown again | Persistent (until manually cleared) |
Technical and session cookies may also be set by the hosting server for security and stability.
2. Third-party content (map)
The site displays an interactive map provided by OpenStreetMap. The map sets no cookies, so it is shown by default; loading the map tiles does however involve a connection to OpenStreetMap servers transmitting the IP address, on the basis of legitimate interest (showing our location).
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation) | Displays the interactive map with the osteria's location. Loading the maps involves a connection to OpenStreetMap servers with transmission of the IP address. No profiling cookies are set. | osmfoundation.org |
The "Get directions" button in the footer is a simple external link that opens Google Maps in a new tab: it sets no cookies on our site and is triggered only if you click it.
3. Google Fonts (self-hosted, no cookies)
The typefaces used on the site (Cormorant Garamond, Puritan, Source Sans 3) are hosted directly on our server. Loading them does not involve any connection to Google's servers, does not set cookies and does not transfer data to third parties.
4. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page. Alternatively you can manage or delete cookies and local data directly from your browser settings:
Disabling technical cookies may affect some features of the site.
5. Controller and contacts
Data Controller: Antico Gallo, Via Bottelli 13, 28041 Arona (NO), Italy, VAT 02025710035. For any request: info@anticogallo.com. More details in the Privacy Policy.
